Indianapolis Children's Museum

One of the best parts of moving to Indiana is the Children's Museum, which is apparently one of the largest in the country.

That's right, L is turning 4 in a few days, and we're finally getting around to posting pics from her birthday last year.

Lessons from the Tooth Fairy

As you'll see, K has been losing her baby teeth. She's also become quite curious about the reality of the Toot Fairy (as well as the Easter Bunny, Santa, et al.). So at the Tooth Fairy's last visit, K received the note below.

K's Athletic Program

K has gotten into quite a few activities in the last year.

There's jumping on the trampoline...

climbing the urban jungle (picture of her crying on first attempt removed)...

and the monkey bars (which she's always happy to explain).

IU Sports

One of the nice things about working at a large university is the sports. S and I were able to sneak away for the big show in town--men's basketball.

We also went to a football game (in honor of Grandpa Ing).

He wouldn't have been satisfied with our seats.

Events such as women's basketball is really family friendly. We've also taken the girls to volleyball and diving.

Parade of Balloons

In August (or was it September... yeah, I know, if we hadn't waited 8 months to post these...) B-town has a hot-air balloon festival. They had about half a dozen different balloons they inflated; you could take a ride in other balloons; and there was music and food.

August Reunion

In August we hosted our annual reunion with the P's and C's (friends from Boston that now also live in the Midwest).

This was our first time hosting. We had a picnic in Spring Mill Park.

 And spent lots of time playing in the backyard--giving us an opportunity to bust out our end of the season acquisition (and kid favorite) water slide.

Back Home

Once back in B-town, we were ready to take a break from traveling.

Fortunately, Grandma and Grandpa G came back with us, which meant...

 good food...

time to get our new house set up...

and lots of time to relax.
