We just returned from 9 days in Hawaii, it was a great escape from the Boston cold. While there, K enjoyed the warm weather, fun outdoor activities, and spending time with family. She even learned some new words:
"Beach": We went to the beach almost everyday we were there. (Although, M looks pretty white in this picture.) K loved the waves washing up on the shore.
"Auntie": Previously, K only knew "uncle", as S only has brothers. But while in Hawaii she learned the all important term, "auntie". She was spoiled by all the attention from Auntie Monica, Nickoma, Alisha, Lohi and Channy.
"Cousins": Perhaps K's favorite activity in Hawaii was playing with cousins. With over six cousins to play with, she always had a friend nearby. She even learned some of there names. 
"Slippers": After spending months wearing shoes, K enjoyed every minute of her slipper time. 
Now that we're back, K stills asks for her "paka" and grandma. We look forward to our next trip home to Hawaii.

With snow upon us again tomorrow, I would give anything to be on the beach. Conor keeps saying that he wishes it was summer! ME TOO!!!

We had so much fun with K here in Hawaii (you guys too of course!). It was hard to see you leave. Hopefully we'll be able to come to Boston for her birthday (when the weather gets a little warmer). Can't believe she'll be two pretty soon!
ahh... so mean of you to post pics of Hawaii in January. Next time, N and I will jump in your suitcase.
K is getting so big! Going to Hawaii in the middle of winter is such a great idea.
What no invite this time?
We all miss you guys. It was so much fun out here with more kids to play with. P and E can't stop asking for K. I'm glad you guys got to come and hope one day we can make it out there to see you guys.
Sorry we didn't invite you Craig. We found great tickets at the last minute. It wasn't something we planned ahead.
