Ever since we moved here we planned on spending one Christmas in town--going to neither Hawaii or Arizona--and inviting family to come up. Since this year was S's year to go home, we had her family come up (plus we didn't think the HI family could handle the cold;>).
We had a great time opening presents, playing games, and just hanging out. We attended the Boston Pops Christmas concert and helped K build her first snowman. K woke up this morning to a more empty and more quiet house. She sure misses her uncles and grandparents, she's been calling for them all day. We loved our white New England Christmas.

I love staying home for Christmas! Plus, it would have been a bad year to try to fly. Too many cancelled flights and too much bad weather!

It's nice to experience real Christmas weather sometimes. You were right about it being to cold for the Hawaii gang, grandma was freezing in the 72 degree house. We missed you guys, but it looks like you had fun in the cold. Thanks for the super nice Christmas card.
How fun! Yes, we'll have to come visit you guys sometime. "real" lobster and seafood sounds way yummy right now! I've always wanted to visit the east coast!! Hope you guys had a Happy New Year. We loved your Christmas card by the way:)

i'm glad your family came up. there's so much to do there, i'm sure they all had a wonderful time. we missed seeing you guys for the holidays. stay warm. we heard some of the wards were canceled there today cause of the weather.
What a beautiful blog and family! We've been in the Boston area since September while Derrick gets his M. Ed. and I'm delivering our first baby at Brigham's in April. What are the odds that so many Pageites would turn up in New England?
