Our 2002 Vintage Collection

Today we celebrate 8 years of marriage. Many things have changed along the way:

We've owned 5 different cars since we've been married. M's faithful Saturn, S's unreliable Volkswagen, our Honda Civic that we owned for only 6 weeks (stolen the second day we moved to Boston), another Honda Civic (RIP 2008, victim of a crash) and our current Mazda.

We've lived in 3 different places, all a part of a condo or apartment associations (meaning that we haven't mowed a lawn or pulled a weed at any residences to date). 

Between the 2 of us, we've been on 7 different company payrolls (M's 4 jobs and S's 3 jobs).

At least one of us has been a student throughout our whole marriage. Three, almost 4 diplomas later, we haven't paid a single penny for tuition. 

There are very few things still part of the journey since the beginning. Here are a few:

We bought this table with our Target gift cards from our reception. The first furniture purchase we made as husband and wife (accessories not included).

This spice rack was a part of our wedding registry along with another dozen or so items we still use today. Throughout the years, S has learned how to use all 12 spices. (Though some not from these tubes.)

We depended on this alarm clock to get us to our 8 AM Chinese language class and mediation cases. Now, we rely on a 2 year old toddler to help us start our day.

M bought this telescope for S's birthday the first year we celebrated together. After S opened the first present (batteries), and acted like she was happy about it, M then told her to look under the table (where the telescope was hidden). 

We hope our 2002 vintage items continue functioning for many years to come!
