Favorites

A few friends asked me to complete the following favorites survey. It was tough to remember life ten years ago. ;)

What is the best thing you cooked last week?
Chicken spaghetti, K ate it for three days in a row, a nice compliment from our picky little eater.

If money, time, babysitting were no object, where would you go and with who?
Hop on a private jet with M, K, and our families and travel around the countries near the Mediterranean Sea. Start our trip in Southern Spain, then the Southern coast of France, Italy, Greece, Jerusalem, Cairo and ending in Morocco.

When was the last time you cried? Commuting home from work after picking K up from Kristin's and listening to Martina McBride's "Through my Daughter's Eyes." Ah, I love having a daughter.

Five things you were doing 10 years ago?
Attending BYU's SOAR program and meeting my dear friend Melanie, my long lost sister.
Enduring high school with a unexpected bad hair cut. (All I have to say is puffy, short, with a tail.)
Enjoying weekends herding sheep with my brothers and cousins.
Watching my mother and learning by her example how to balance it all--being a wonderful mother, compassionate sister, supporting wife, devoted church member and a successful career woman.
Trying to pass math class to stay on the basketball team.

Five things you were doing 5 years ago?
Receiving the first stamp in my passport-London, England
Awaiting acceptance or rejection letters for Michael's grad school applications
Carrying a huge camera around BYU trying to find a great story
Trying to pass Stats 221, my most dreaded class at BYU
Enjoying life without stretch marks

Five things you were doing 1 year ago?
Counting down the days to K's arrival
Enduring painful swollen ankles
Listening to scripts and music from our Hypnobirthing class
Finishing my third year as Young Women's President in the Arlington Ward
Enjoying a wonderful baby shower hosted by my dear friends Stacey, Emma and Debbie

Five favorite places you have been:
Great Wall of China
Great Canal, Venice, Italy
Florence, Italy
Grand Canyon, Arizona
Kauai, Hawaii

Five favorite memories:
Holding K for the first time.
Discovering I was pregnant-Mike was speechless for nearly an hour, I grabbed my planner and scheduled her blessing date, maternity leave and our travel plans. ;>)
Childhood memories of camping and hiking in Arizona, Colorado and Utah.
Our wedding day in Hawaii.
Michael fulfills one of my life goals--attending a George Strait concert.

Seven of your favorite hobbies:
Traveling, Cooking, Swimming, Basketball, Planning, Reading and compiling radio scripts.
